I have been to this place 3 times now and each time I’ve been very happy with the meal, service & atmosphere. The menu is fancy/casual and I’m sure you’ll find something you like here. My favorite thing is the Dumbwaiter burger. It’s big, delicious, has like 4 or 5 amazing toppings. Get it!! I also enjoy the Mobile Benedict. Really, really great place to eat in Downtown Mobile!
Tried the Pecan Crusted Chicken yesterday and it is THE best I have ever eaten! It had just the right amount of sweet and very savory! I actually finished it with a spoon just to get that last bit of goodness.
One of my favorite places. You have to love a place that can make brussels sprouts taste good (and they are awesome). The tomato stack is one of the best things I have ever had. Might be a little wait for a table, but well worth it.
Simply the best restaurant in Mobile. Highly recommend the tomato stack, fried brussel sprouts, shrimp and grits, Alabama Benedict, burger, beef tornadoes, and the pork chop. (Lemon ice box pie is pretty special as well).
Great service for our party of 18. Nice atmosphere and menu. Definitely will return to try more of the unique fishes. Beef Tournedos were cooked perfectly and so tender.
Tried Dumbwaiter for the first time today for lunch. The inside of restaurant was very lovely. Our service was relatively prompt, and our servers were very friendly. Everyone in our party tried the burger de jour. I’m sorry, but it was terribly greasy. Even the bun was soaking up so many of the juices and fat, that it literally fell apart. The lunch was so heavy, we could only eat half of our burgers. The homemade ketchup was also very tomato pasty tasting, it needed something to just make it a little more balanced. Overall, I wasn’t that impressed.
Soooooooo good! Excellent staff and chef. Delicious menu and specials. Price isn’t bad. Brussel Sprouts dish is a must-try! They close kinda early but whatever. :)Tip: for dinner, be sure to make reservations.
