We enjoy eating regularly at this downtown Mobile restaurant. The food is always good. Favorite choices include the fresh fish hook to table selection. I like to order it lightly blackened or simply grilled with no blackening. TheConecuh sausage sauce is very good as are the grits that accompany it. The pork chop is also a winner on the menu. Crab cakes are very well done. I do not care for the kale that comes with them. I find it to be too chewy, but the crab cakes themselves are wonderful! The fried pimento cheese is also very tasty. On the cocktail menu, we especially like the cucumber basil martini. The service is ok. The parkingcan be difficult. The fact that the restaurant is no longer open at lunch is definitely a disappointment. All in all, this is a welcome addition to downtown Mobile.
We went here after Madri Gras and boy it was awesome. We got a dozen raw oysters, Brussel sprouts with bacon to share and I got myself the double steak filets with shrimps. Everything was amazing. The Brussel sprouts with bacon is a must. It’s a signature dish and oh so good. Service was also fantastic and attentive. I can’t wait to come back and try the shrimp and grits. I am beginning to love grits and Mobile is the best place to be for that.
