Best cupcake I’ve ever had. Holy crap that was good. I wish I lived close enough toeat 99 of them every day. Red velvet in my mouth. The cream in the middle really hit the spot.
I just had the opportunity to taste these cup cakes and they are delicious. My favorite is the key lime and red velvet. You guys are doing such a great job.
The best cupcake I’ve ever had is their coconut lemon. Subtle, delicious. It’s the best. Period. I wish they were labeled more specifically-daughter was annoyed by unexpected filling in the chocolate cupcake. I loved it though.
Eaten 2 different cakes – delicious. Very different taste!!! It has a filling as a layer that is a creamy sweet taste. The icing had a very good taste too…like it was pineapple flavored maybe. Cake was very moist and fresh. I have never actually visited the store. Below is a picture of the baby shower cake from this past Saturday. The other cake I tasted was from a wedding shower 2 years before this from the same customer. The cupcakes at the wedding shower however tasted like they were boxed made.
Not sure….. I went into this bakery for the 1st time last week. I bought 1 plain buttercream cupcake, 1 strawberry cupcake, 1 chocolate brownie and 1 blondie brownie. Let me just say, the plain buttercream cupcake tasted like it was possibly made from scratch and it may be the only thing that is. The strawberry cupcake came from a box, as well as the chocolate brownie. The blondie was hard as a rock and left a lot to be desired. I even put it in the microwave, didn’t help. I’m not sure about what’s all made from scratch and what comes from a box, but I know that the strawberry cupcake and the chocolate brownie definitely are box mixes. The icing on both cupcakes could possibly be homemade, but all of their offerings are not. Twist definitely has better cupcakes in my opinion. Their cupcakes and icing are all made from scratch and are bigger. They are expensive, but worth it. Like some of the other people here, I bake as well and I know a box cake when I taste it.
Horrible. I will never go back to flour girls. I called and they were RUDE and told me I had to call 6 months in advance. They will never get my business again.
Flour Girls Do Cupcakes Right. I love Flour Girls bakery. I’ve read some reviews here that are unfair and from people who only seem to review bakeries and review them badly. Flour Girls makes delicious cupcakes and they sell out quickly. They are a small locally owned business. It can be difficult to get them on the phone during peak hours when the line is out the door. Just go there and order (and get a sweet treat while you’re there) and place your order. You’ll be glad you did.
