TERRIBLE SERVICE – Worst service I have had in a while. I have been here several times during Mardi Gras and the service was never good but forgivable during Mardi Gras, not so on a summer Sunday night. The place was 1/4 – 1/3 full. After 10 min. the manager came over a took our order. 5 minutes later the bar tender brought us drinks. After 30 minutes we flagged down a waitress and ask her to check on our food (pizza and sandwich) . After another 10-15 minutes the food arrived. Bartender came over asked if we needed anything else (first time since ordering). We asked for water – no luck. Flagged another waitress down and asked for water, finally got some. Finished meal and had to flag a waitress down again and ask for take out box (we were too dumb to ask for check also). She brought the box and disappeared. The manager came over and apologized but no offers of anything. Finally went to bar to pay the bartender. She gave us the bill and as we were trying to pay left to get beers for other customers. Decided that trying to do a credit card was a bad idea and came up with enough cash and left it on the counter. Food was OK but evening was ruined by the service taking so long. Really poor service for a supposedly upscale hotel.
My co-workers love to go over for their pizzas. So despite the negative reviews, we decided to order takeout from Joe Cain Cafe for the first time. We soon found out that they had changed their menu in April 2015 and removed the Chicken Cheesesteak and the Herb Roasted Pork panini we were going to order. So we chose the Seared Tuna Wrap and the Grilled Chicken, Bacon, Ranch Flatbread instead. When I got back to the office, my tuna wrap was a tuna sandwich, on dry toasted wheat & no sesame dressing?!? I called and spoke to Candice who looked up our order and agreed that they had messed up. The wrong item was brought back, Candice apologized for their error and happily exchanged it for the right order. No problem! Mistakes happen but I really appreciated the way their staff handled the complaint.Back to the food, we both enjoyed the Seared Tuna Wrap and the Grilled Chicken, Bacon, Ranch Flatbread. They were $12.10 each with tax included; pricey. (Most of Panini Pete’s sandwiches around the corner on Dauphin are $8.80 tax included)
