Small restaurant right off University one of the best places to eat Mexican in Mobile. Awesome queso and salsa. Fairly priced and more than enough food.
Local Diner. My wife loved this place at first. We have been eating here for the last few years, but lately the food has been dwindling, and the food establishment score was 80. Too disgusting for me, but my wife still ordered take out only to find the food is also not as tasty as it one was. My advise check the score unless you’re already alebreated. Then it won’t matter.
I understand it’s cinco de mayo but when your out door bartender tell me and another female friend the drink special is two for one on this d$ck… It’s unacceptable… Very inappropriate!

A Hole of A Gem In The Wall!. A Mexican Gem, small dinning area, get there early for lunch, or you’ll be waiting outside for a table. Let’s start with the chips and salsa, the salsa has the kick that you know so good chip after chip. A great menu , with lunch specials. I went with the Street Tacos which you have 8 choices of fillings all topped with onion and cilantro. Mine, were, Steak, Chorizo, and Carnitas. The stake, had that nice chard taste, the chorizo a great spice, and the carnitas moist and tender, all in soft corn tortillas, was the perfect lunch.
La Cocina is by far the BEST restaurant in mobile. It’s kind of small but don’t let that hold you back. Best cheese dip ever.
This establishment needs a thorough cleaning. There’s dust everywhere, there’s a film of grease on everything. The food, however, was delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed everything I ordered and I have visited many Mexican restaurants before (I am not local to Mobile so my tastes have been broadened more than a local reviewer). I recommend that the owners seriously consider remodeling or moving locations due to the age of the building.
