Lafayette Restaurant is the place to eat at. Their menu has great Wings, Pasta’s & Steak’s cooked to perfection but there wouldn’t be a visit if you don’t try their New Orleans Seafood Gumbo I give Lafayette Restaurant 2 snaps and a Circle
Great food and fantastic service! If you want the best steak in town go for the ribeye. Chef Craig barbarin is a very talented cook and you can really taste the love in his food! Whether you dine in the restaurant or eat in the sky view lounge is a treat any day of the week.
I love this place really good New Orleans type food. Their gumbo is absolutely amazing. Their pasta was really good also. I had the shrimp pasta. It was seasoned well and loaded up with large shrimp. When we went we ate are food in the sky view lounge upstairs, which has a awesome view of the entire city. Overall great place to eat, and never crowded and great service.
Jimmy buffet didn’t stop here. Mobile native jimmy buffet couldn’t have been talking about laffayettes in cheeseburger in paradise. Surprising good for a hotel restaurant. I went with the ribeye, on the servers recommendation, and didn’t regret it. It was rather large, and very tender. Really good authentic New Orleans flavor. I had the bread pudding for dessert and I’m usually not a fan of bread pudding, due the fact no one can make it like my mom, but I do have to say, it wasn’t momma’s but it was the closet thing that’s ever came to it. Whatever kind of bourbon sauce they put on it was amazing, with all the white chocolate. Great over all experience
It was great! I pass threw on business a lot threw mobile and always stop here, because the food is great! My favorite is there gumbo and ribeye steak. Both are full of authentic Cajun seasoning. Best gumbo outside of New Orleans, hands down. It’s a little small for the price thou. And the ribeye is HUGE, like man vs food big, and extremely tender. It doesn’t have much of a smoke or charcoal flavor thou so I’m assuming they cook with gas, but it was still excellent none the less!
Amazingly mediocre. Precisely what you should expect from the restaurant in the lobby of the Holiday Inn. The fish was frozen, a sin for a city right on the Gulf. Salad was old. Garlic mashed potatoes served in a bowl with a dried layer on top that screamed of being reheated in an oven. Sting beans with stems-long ones. Just what would be expected of the Holiday Inn’s restaurant.
