Seafood lover. Our daughter asked to have her birthday dinner at MaGhee’s Grill so I called and reserved a table and requested fresh fish. The Chef personally went to the fish market that day and selected fresh snapper. When we arrived that evening, we were seated and Chef Will came to our table to introduce himself and allowed us to view the fish he had selected for our meal. He prepared grilled snapper in a beurre blanc sauce with potato cakes. The meal would rival any that I have had at Bayona’s in NO or the Highlands in Birmingham. The staff was super friendly and the service prompt. It’s an intimate and wonderful bar and grill and we intend to make it our regular destination… PS..my wife and I were hungry for a burger the next night and went there for the best burger that I have ever sunk my teeth into…made to order!!!

Seeker of Great Food. My wife and I were in Mobile recently and ate dinner at McGhee’s, Felix’s, and Wintzell’s. The best meal by far was McGhee’s (still trying to figure out the Felix thing). The Chef prepared us barbequed shrimp, sauted crab claws, and an entre’ of fresh grouper with potato cakes and sauted vegetables. One of the best coastal meals that I’ve had in my entire life!! McGhee’s will be our number one dining spot on our next trip to Mobile. Chef Will Reid is a diamond in the rough and is going places in the culinary world! Love the food and service!! Bravo McGhee’s!!

MaGhees is awesome!!!. MaGhees grill on the hill rocks!! I love everything I have ever had!!! My favorite are the dinner sides (potato cakes and veggies). Add any of the dinner options and you are set!! Sooooo yummy!!! Everyone should go to MAGHEES!!!! It’s the best!!15 May, 2012Yummy yummy wraps. To Brett (aka guy with fatty wrap) In my experience at MaGhees everyone has always loved the wraps!! I mean they do not even leave one bite…and they are huge! I think you maybe somewhat hard to please??? Because so many others are very happy and I know come back for more because I have seen them… Just a thought.. I hope everyone else ignores that post! The wraps are where it’s at!!

We seek out and support local eateries but unfortunately we won’t go back – two hours before food served. Food not tasty as expected. Six in our party – food came out in intervals. Service was poor to say the least. Very disappointed.
