Fairly uniform Olive Garden location with consistent delivery of all your favorites. My usual is the braised beef tortellini which I think now comes in a slightly smaller portion now that its served in a raised-edge plate. Lisa had the buy-one-take-one special with the half-moon ravioli. What can we say it was all good.
Chain food. You can do so much better in Mobile.
What the heck happened to Olive Garden? The service was horrible. Waitress was rude. Breadsticks were stale tasting or frozen. Daughter got spaghetti and meatballs. It came with this red sauce that smelled of Spaghetti O’s. The meat ball was bland. I ordered the seafood Alfredo. It was watered down Alfredo and some frozen seafood. I could have done better in the frozen food section of Walmart. Boyfriend got the filet. Beautiful cut of meat. Horrid taste. Manager came and we told him how awful the food was. He, of course, had an excuse for everything. Offered us dessert. If the dessert was anything like the food NO THANKS
Don’t go with a large party. No one eats at chain restaurants to eat quality food, so mentioning that everything they make tastes like it came out of a cardboard box and then a microwave would be pointless. Restaurants like Olive Garden have mass appeal, and work well for large parties. Or so I thought.I called this late afternoon to reserve a table for a group of 14 on a Friday evening. The manager wouldn’t even bother discussing making any kind of reservation. In fact, he acted like even asking was a serious pain in the butt, and told me that in order to get a table, I’d have to get there at 5:30 and wait; they wouldn’t even let me call ahead that same day. I will no longer be going to this restaurant. Carrabba’s had no issue scheduling us Friday. I’ve never been there, but I’ve already had a number of people tell me the food and service is much better. It’s five minutes away. I say it’s worth it. If not, there’s always Lean Cuisine.
Spicey Shrimp Vestuvio had such a strong, odd flavor that I couldn’t eat it. I had 2 waiters and still ran out of drinks. Unimpressed.
Great dining experience!. Sunday, early eve about 5pm. Hostess and waiter very courteous, friendly and professional. Our waiter, Kerry was attentative without being pesky. he made sure each course followed correctly and met our needs w/o us having to ask, extra silverware for dessert, go box, etc. Attention to detail in an unhurried, easy manner – great waiter. Restaurant was very clean and room temp was perfect. There was a 10 minute wait time for a table, but we chose instead to sit in the bar area that is designed to look and feel like an outdoor cafe. Great music added to the ambience. We may never sit out in the regular seating areas again! Food was delicious!. Hot food, hot. Cold food, cold. Highlight was the lemon cream cake and expresso for dessert…completed a wonderful meal experience. The food and the service more than met our expectation. Excellent!!! 5 stars!!
I made it back and the service has dramatically improved. We will be back..Thanks for fixing the issues!16 Mar, 2013Awful! Where is the old Olive Garden!!! Last couple of years down the toilet!
