Disappointed. We ordered 3 appetizers. BBQ wings were good but difficult to eat since they are served intact including the wing tips. Hummus was bland and the fresh pita bread was stale and inedible. The Buffalo shrimp was too crispy (hard) and salty even after I drenched it in the Ranch dressing. Finally, they served my husband a Makers Mark and Sprite in a plastic cup, plastic. We wont be returning.
We went to Ollies last week for the first time and loved it!! I got the brick oven pizza and loved it! I was very excited that we had some leftover so I could eat it for lunch the next day! Our server was very sweet and helpful! We’ll definitely be heading back!
Server was condescending. Soup was puree of something. Shawarma must have been from a can. If I were a dog I’d lick myself to get the taste out…….
Food is the freshest and EXCELLENT quality. My husband and I have been ordering from the Hillcrest location for years, and we usually order their grape leaves, shish kabob, pizza, gyros, and hummus. They have very fresh and intricately flavored dishes, and we are satisfied every time with the quality of the food. The service needs help, though. Most of the time we order takeout, and every time there’s been missing food ordered, overcharged items, or missing utensils (common sense when you order takeout!). Despite this, I still return and will continue to come back because their food is just that first rate!
If you have a shrimp allergy, do NOT come to this restaurant! They only use one batch of oil, so cross contamination rules out anything that goes in the vat. When asked if I could get a hamburger grilled away from shrimp they told me that couldn’t be done. Needless to say I refused to eat any of their food.
Pretty Good. I personally like another pizza restaurant in Saraland better, but it’s pretty good for our first visit. A tad pricey, but the service was fast and friendly. Came around 1:30 on a Friday and not busy at all. It’s very cold in the restaurant, but better than burning up.
Nothing much Mediterranean about Ollie’s. The food wasn’t good no matter which origin they were aiming for. Bad service and flat beer with a rust encrusted top. Even the gyro beef was questionable.
