I would definitely recommend this restaurant !!!. I tried the 88 Rice Special Plate and it was a greatly filled plate, My siblings also had the #1 and I would definitely have to say this is the best Vietnamese restaurant in Mobile an definitely beats Pot Au Pho at the food. The service was also very nice not great but it was perfect for us 🙂

Amazing. Best Vietnamese place in Mobile. I’ve never tried any entree but the pho because the pho is so good. Spring rolls are made fresh and served with a great peanut sauce. The prices are fantastic. For authentic Vietnamese food this is the place to go.

Pho 88 is my favorite place to go and eat when I am Mobile!! The family that owns it is so sweet. I recently moved away and I haven’t found food that can even compare to wonderful tasting food there!! #44 is what I get every time!!

Pho is King in Mobile. Although the Viet population is fairly large in Mobile, we do not have enough Vietnamese restaurants. It is unfortunate, but many Viet restaurateurs wind up opening Chinese joints to cater to unsophisticated American tastes; but I digress. The good news is that Pho 88 is excellent and the service is outstanding. Although some may find the decor unsatisfying, I have found that the best Vietnamese food is served in meager surroundings and under vivid florescent lights. Of course, try the pho, which comes with an assortment of fresh ingredients like basil, lemon, jalapeno peppers, and bean sprouts. Make sure that when you blend these into your soup, you pause to take in the magnificent bouquet, which makes the experience worth it. Fresh spring rolls are superior. Also, give the specialty drinks a try, in particular the Soda Chan. Wake up Mobile! Quit frequenting the fried chicken finger chains that have infested our city. If we support places like this, other great ethnic cuisine will move in.
