Great crawfish, great white trout, always consistently good. Fairly priced. They are usually pretty busy though so if you don’t have the time to wait I would call ahead. But either way well worth the wait. I Would highly recommend Ranch seafood.
I agree with the 2 previous reviews. I’ve eaten here quite a few times myself. The crawfish are seasoned just right in my opinion. And most importantly, the shrimp are from Bayou La Batre! Local! Always good. I usually eat a pound of crawfish at the table while they get the rest of my order cooked. They taste way better when you devour them right out of the briny goodness especially the heads. Po boys are typical but quite good. Even above average. Try the white trout platter. Winner. The staff is friendly. Healthy fish and shrimp on ice too if you wanna cook it yourself at home. Staff friendly. You have to tell them Exactly what you want though. They’ll steam it,fry it. Whatever. Yall should try it. You’ll like it.
This is one divey place and easily dismissable as it’s hidden by a gas bar.We ordered the 2 crab steamed platter that also had shrimp, potatoes, corn, and a sausage. All were good but a little spicy despite having ordered it NOT spicy. The shrimps were large but whole, as in with the heads attached. Also got some fried catfish and trout along with fries, okra, fried pickles, and potato salad. All good but sometimes with too much breading and some pieces were over-fried. Oh, also wanted to try the chicken wings out of curiosity which were interestingly sweet with a little bite. Pretty good. All in all not bad. The steamed platter is comparable to something you’d get at Joe’s Crab Shack. If you can get past the unwelcoming appearance of the place and don’t rely too much on service, the food’s worth a try.
Some of the best crawfish in Mobile. The steamed items are also very good. Some of the fried items tend to be a little over cooked but that’s a small issue. I will be going back again.
