Awesome ribs. Visited Rodger’s for a late evening rib dinner takeout. The serving was generous and was very reasonable considering the quality of the meat and sauce. Just delicious ribs which I thoroughly enjoyed.
They’ve all said it. The best ribs I’ve ever eaten. They are smoky, fall off the bone, and a sweet savory sauce with just the right amount of bite. I got a half slab with sides. The greens are also the best ever. Prepare for takeout only and the location is not in the best part of town, but if you want good bar b que, don’t let this stop you. Rodger and his wife will take care of you like family.
Good Bar-b-q. Rodger’s bar-b-q has been located in Toulminville for years. The food there is very tasty. The ribs are the best, I wish people would stop saying bad things about Toulminville. Toulminville is not as bad as people say. I have lived there for years. It’s not Toulminville that’s bad ,it’s the bad people moving there. It only takes one bad apple to spoil an area. Crime is everywhere, even in west Mobile. It’s just not reported in the newspaper, or on television as often. You have white and blue collar criminals. Criminals are everywhere!
Best in Mobile. I have been a fan of Rodgers for over 20 years. It is a sweet sauce and the ribs are fall off the bone. Old skool Rib joint. It has to be good to be in such a bad part of town and a unique location. Don’t expect to sit and eat. Very little space to eat, I ate in my car in the parking lot. Mouth waters just thinking about the place
Best Bar-B-QUE!!!. Most definetley the best bar-b-que that i have ever tried in my life. when you wal in the building you can actually get a close look of how they smoke thier ribs in an old fashion furnace like smoker. sometimes it takes awhile to get your food, but it is worth the wait. the ribs fall right off the bone, the baked beans and potato salad is absolutley wonderful. and the sauce is by far the best that i have ever had from any bar-b-que restaurant. my only criticism is the area of town it is in and the price. i almost feel as if i have to keep a good eye on my vehical while im waiting on my food, and the price is like they are castrating your wallet, but it is entirely worth it!!!
