I recently hosted my son’s rehearsal dinner at RCSH in Mobile and couldn’t be happier with the entire experience from the planning that started six months ago until this past Friday night. Even the next day as RCSH held our table flower arrangements in their wine cooler for the bride’s family to pick up for the wedding reception. RCSH has a full-time banquet coordinator who worked with me to customize our menu, room set up, table settings, and even got our flower arrangements ordered and delivered. Did I mention I was in central Florida for all of this planning? We met Thursday with the RCSH Banquet Coordinator, General Manager, and Executive Chef to go over everything including setting up and testing our A/V for the evening. We reviewed the costs and everything was in line with my expectations. The flowers were a little higher than we had planned, but this was partly due to my last-minute changes to the table setup. The flower arrangements were beautiful and were just what the bride had asked for. Our BC worked with Bay Florists on the arrangements based on some photos she showed us from other events. The arrival, dinner, and service were everything you would expect from RCSH. Very personal service accommodating everyone’s requests. I got nothing but high praise for the entire event: the appetizers, the wines, all three entree choices, the desserts, and the wait staff. We had a private room (the Busch Room – yes, Anheiser’s friend) with 37 guests and it was a very nice setting. My wife and I had the filet and they were prepared perfectly. Those that got the grouper and chicken dishes had great things to say about those dishes too. All five tables received their entrees closely together. There were no delays and the hot food was hot and the cold food was cold. I had asked that the wedding party be given priority on anything they needed and their dinners arrived first and my son’s filet was perfectly rare, as he ordered it. At the end of the night when we settled the tab, everything was exactly as expected. A great night and a great experience overall.
Consistently excellent! I am a hard core ribeye man, but Ruth Chris’ filet is on another plane of fine dining. Outstanding meal.
Fine Dinning at Its Best.. All of the steaks are fantastic, get with extra butter. Service is excellent. My wife loves the Chrissy.
Thesenator. Excellent, from start to finish. Excellent waitstaff, cocktails, and entrees (tuna and ribeye). Why go anywhere else? Ruth’s knows how to take care of the patrons.
A bit disappointed. I am of course familiar with Ruth Chris, so i was expecting better service. it was not all bad, just not exactly what i was expect from Ruth Chris. My steak was not sizzling as usual, and my server was not on his best game.
Good but VERY pricey!. There is a tendency here to char the outside of the steak to the extent that carbon is all you can taste, so my favorite, a rib-eye, had to be sent back for a prime rib instead. The menu prices include the price of the steak only, and the price of a simple garden salad and baked potato may come as a SHOCK to you. Still, the prime rib was very good, but not necessarily better than ‘Long Horn’ or ‘Outback’ at a much lower overall price. Potentially a good dining experience (good wine list), but bring the Platinum Card, you’re going to need it when the server presents the bill.
Anniversary delight. We had our anniversary here and it was great service was great and food fabulous . Except for the jerk from another party who thought he own the waitress it was fine dinning.
