Always great service and great good. I have had almost everything on the menu and have been pleased with everything. Check it out just call ahead for a table.
The Royal Scam is a delicious gem of a restaurant. The inside is fun and lively, and the courtyard is quaint and peaceful. The menu has wonderful options from small plates to Sandwiches to great entrees. I had the land and sea which included a six ounce filet and two crab cakes and garlic mashed potatoes. The steak was cooked perfectly and the Demi glac was delish! Nice wine selection as well. Would be a great place for lunch or dinner.
The Royal Scam is the only place I know of downtown where I can get a Roasted Duck Panini and theirs is wonderful with bacon & gorgonzola. I am also fond of their Seared Tuna Wrap and spicy mango salad. It is pricey here but you get the quality you pay for!

Don’t go here. First off it took 15 min to receive my beer, then I literally had to go to the bar to get my next one because the waiter (Shawn) would not come to our table. Why you ask? Because we were a group of 18 on three separate tables, he didn’t have to work for his tip. You would think that was bad enough, then he delivers the food for the table, and delivers the message that the chef never go my order. He just started cooking it, I canceled the order. Surf and turf 32 dollars and he forgot. Worst service I’ve ever experienced.
Long wait. Visiting downtown Mobile on 2/13/2015 for Mardi Gra we were staying at the Renaissance Hotel and was told this place was great. We went in about 2 pm there was not hardly anyone in the place. We were served our drinks right away but waited at least 20 minutes before my husband had waited enough to be served and we left! We will not be back!
Truly a scam! 1 out of 10!. Waste of money! Lousy food & service! Medium cooked steak is suppose to be burnt & cold?! We don’t mind paying money for great or even good food, but this… this was McDonald standards! Truly a scam!!
