Do Not Waste Your Money !. The affair was a dinner to celebrate a birthday. Cost with tip over $350 including wine. Waitress recommend the famous crab cakes for starters but ( 7PM) they had not prepared any to be served. Order the red snapper, shrimp and pasta and of course the normal soup and salads etc. Please note; the entrees were not mediocre they were unacceptable. The famous raspberry cake was serve partially frozen and the coffee and expresso were cold . Even after pointing out the issues we were charged full price for all items. Avoid !

Battle House Trellis Room Dinner. We went to the Trellis room to celebrate my wife’s sister’s 75th birthday and were not disappointed. Excellent upscale dining experience. The dishes we tried were the Mahi-Mahi (catch of the day) and lamb. Everyone found the dishes delicious. The Trellis Room is known for scallops, but none us chose them.Three of us had dessert, and it was very good too. The service was very professional. Dined early and the room was quiet, a nice change from some trendy places. The hotel is beautiful old one, a real gem. One nice side feature is that they have valet parking – made it easy for us not familiar with downtown Mobile. We will return, maybe for the Sunday breakfast or brunch.

Once again a bad restaurant in a hotel. Problem is, it was one of the highest rated restaurants in Mobile. They ran out of filet mignon after they cooked the first one well done. It was supposed to be medium. Ravioli was under cooked with the Lobster dish. And it’s expensive.

Excellent service. I travel to Mobile frequently and the Trellis Room is always one of the first places I visit. Their professional and expert staff (Holly and Jonah) always make dining a pleasure. The food is superb and the atmosphere is a throw back to the past while maintaining a modern feel.I hope to be back soon!!

Ridiculous Chefs!. This is by far the best high end dining experience in Mobile. From Chef Allie (BEST chef in Mobile), to the wait staff with Holly. Excellent wine selection and a small, imaginative, very tasty menu! Intimate setting, making Trellis perfect for dates.

Bad food & rude chef. The Trellis Room was a total disappointment. Poor appetizer followed by disgusting sorbet. Waiter offered for chef to come speak with us. When he finally appeared, he was extremely rude and wouldn’t listen to us. Told us that everything was as it should be prepared. Offered no apology. Meal was not billed to us, but we left without even trying our entrees. The way we were treated was inexcusable. And this was on Valentine’s night. It was one we won’t soon forget.
