The cupcakes are ok at best. Not worth driving out of the way for.
Delicious and homemade taste.. Maple Bacon and cookie butter cupcakes are to die for! They won my business from Gigi’s. Their icing is not heavy or generic tasting. I live the promos and the nice staff. Great place!
I went in twist cupcakes on June 5 and received rude service from the employees for a subpar cupcake. I suggest they work on their customer service in the future and their recipies
Pretty good.. The shop is nicely decorated and clean. The service is good. The prices are fair. $3.00 per cupcake may seem kind of steep, but that is the typical going rate at dedicated dessert shops–you’d pay about the same for a serving of ice cream from an ice cream place. They do have a lot of daily specials that can make it more reasonably priced. The quality of the cupcakes is a little hit and miss. I’ve tried half a dozen different flavors and 3 were fantastic: cream cheese pound cake, snickerdoodle, & cookies n’cream were all delicious. The other three, not so good: red velvet–dry, banana pudding–artificial pudding mix flavor, & mocha almond–too sweet and too many flavors that didn’t go together. If you find a flavor you like and stick with it, Twist is a very enjoyable experience. It is much better than the other dedicated cupcake place in Mobile–where out of a half dozen flavors tried I didn’t like a single one.
Twist Fell Flat. For the price, we expected the cupcakes to be prettier, and maybe taste a little better. The frosting was just a squirt on top – nothing special, and tasted ok. The strawberry cupcakes were better than the cream cheese poundcake flavored, but both were a little dry and underwhelming. Hannah, who helped me when I picked them up was super-nice, even staying a few minutes late since I was running late. All in all, for this price, next time I’ll make my own.
Awesome place!! Wish they were open longer so I could go after dinner 🙂 I love their sweet treats!
The best cupcakes I have ever had!! And trust me, I have had many!! Compared to other cupcake eateries, they have very reasonable prices!! Not only that, Twist offers great customer service and a cool, clean atmosphere. However, I wish they offered ice cream! That would top it all off! MUST TRY!
