We love it!. A favorite of ours, we drive 20 miles from Prattville to eat here. We’re senior citizens and my wife and I absolutely love it every time. We’d eat here weekly if we lived in the city. Never disappointed in the food or the service, or the atmosphere.
The Best Comfort Food Out! …. The Best Comfort Food Out!I simply loved my lunch at the Blue Moon. From the moment I entered the establishment my husband and I were treated with warm smiling faces. The staff was helpful with suggestions,as this was our first visit. I had the pot pie. My husband had the fried fish. These dishes were excellent. I read other reviews that had said the food was bland. The food was seasoned lightly with great taste as I cook at home. I think that so many foods out are overly salted and full of preservatives that give the food a taste boost at the person’s health cost. I had much rather leave room for someone to add salt,pepper, and other condiments than over doing it or serving food full of preservatives loaded with sodium. BLUE MOON gets 5 stars with me. As you will taste what is closest to home cooked food as you can get. I am 42 and have eaten my share of meat and three plates from various Restaurants. I Find this a place that we will visit again. I love the corn muffins, rolls, slaw, peas, banana pudding. My husband loved everything so much that he ordered a plate to go to have at work the next day for his lunch. I want to say thank you BLUE MOON for providing a wonderful place to eat when I can’t cook. I’d like to add that the cleanliness was very much to my approval. It was a very busy time when we ate there, so I know that tells me they stay on top of things,as I’ve been other places and had to complain cleanliness and having tissue in restrooms ,soap, and locks on doors, I’ve had every excuse. I was happy to see that the Blue Moon had not one reason to make an excuse. Happy to have eaten in your restaurant.
Wow. ..I can’t believe all the good reviews for this place’s food. The service and atmosphere is great but the food is terrible. Possibly the worst and most bland I’ve ever paid for. I’m on the road a lot and eat out a lot plus am in the food industry and can’t express enough how bad it is. Thanks and happy eating!
Quite possible the most bland food I’ve ever eaten. The Mac-n-cheese was no less than disgusting and had a smell that was not discernible. I’m pretty sure that a stray dog would reject this food.
Ditto on the White Fish comment. The fried fish is always a yummy choice. I also like the chicken pot and chicken & dumplings. I’ve never had anything that I didn’t like. I’m picky about mashed potatoes, and these are great. They have soome pound cakes, by the register, sometimes. They are excellent to take home.
Chicken ‘n Dumplings – YUM!. Best chicken and dumplings in town. Fish is always good! Cornbread is perfection. Love the service and the people.
