This is my first restaurant evaluation. I have had several opportunities of eating in and getting takeout at Da fung Mei.This Chinese eatery serves Korean Chinese fusion cuisine which is quite probably the best Korean Chinese food in Montgomery. Some Caveats: They do not market themselves well and the ambience needs a little getting used to.The Korean Chinese food is found at the back of the menu, after the regular Chinese food. The Korean Chinese food is a bit expensive but worth it. I haven’t travelled to Korea but the food feels authentic. I have tried The Ma Pa Tofu, Jajangmyeon ( rice or noodle dish topped with a thick sauce), the Seafood Combination fried rice dish and several others.Everything I have tried so far has left me wanting to go back for more of this wonderful Chef’s creations.Glad they decided to come to Montgomery. Hope that they stay.

I blame the owner of the restaurant to have someone in the front who cannot answer any question. Basically I paid $10 for just plain rice.Thought this is a better place but will never go again. There are other better places in montgomery.

I will be back.. The good: Everything is cooked to order, so it takes 20 to 30 minutes for them to prepare your food. That’s a good thing, in my opinion.The hot and sour soup is the best I’ve ever had. Even had pieces of chicken and fresh shrimp in it. AMAZING. Pan fried rice is listed under House Specials, and that’s what I got. TO DIE FOR. So yum! The noodles are crunchyish, and the veggies atop and the sauce are just delectable. That’s what I’ll get again, if I go back. The only other people in there besides us were Asian, so that’s always a good sign. The BAD: The place is sort of ugly, but that’s not their fault I guess. There’s ugly green lightbulbs all in the ceiling that cast a greenish hue on the food.
