I didn’t realize my ribs were going to come with a pickle on them, it really ruined the flavor for me. Otherwise the smoke flavor was good and they were relatively tender. Service I received was very good. The mac and cheese was super tasty.

Not Bad for The Gump. To begin with, I like that this regional chain prides itself on not having a walk-in freezer. As a result, the food is fresher than you would find at the typical chain. Is it Memphis-quality? Or Lexington, N.C.? Not quite. But it’s pretty good and consistent–not bad for Montgomery (a.k.a. The Gump). We especially like the brisket and the NC-style (vinegary) pork. The smoked chicken was great one time and overcooked the next. The sides are tasty, including greens, mashed taters and mac and cheese. Don’t waste your money on the bacon jam, or whatever they call the appetizer with smoked bacon bits. The bacon are so tough that you can’t chew ’em.
Doesn’t live up to the hype. Had a lot of people refer me to Jim n Nicks but service was slow and food was just average. Bar drinks are way too expensive. Dreamland is better, cheaper, faster.
This is it! my fav!. My favorite restaurant is jim n nicks , stop in for ribs every time i pass through mont. sweet tea, cheese biscuits,and bbq sauce are all their own. its a ruined trip if you dont belly up on some ribs! ive asked over and over for one in mobile is my only complaint
Very Good. Really good food large portions fair price. Our waitress Robin was great , friendly knew the product. Turkey is out of this world went in looking for ribs came out drooling over the turkey!! Keep up the good work, thx
