AMAZING!. Excellent! When i say EXCELLENT! I Mean BEYOND WONDERFUL. Their service was awesome. I’m from out of town. And normally ill order from this delivery place called couch potato but they are VERY rude!! When i called this place they had great attitude, very far from rude! They listened to everything i had to say. I mean i was blown away with their service! & their food is more than amazing. I’m a picky eater and I’ll tell you if it’s nasty. But it was very far from Nasty. I love it. Ill be ordering from here everyday that I’m in town! Thanks again guys 🙂
Top BBQ in the country. This is not only the best BBQ in Montgomery, but definitely better than some of the country’s best BBQ in the country. Their ribs are more delicious than Oklahoma Joe’s at Kansas City and better than Pappy’s Smokehouse at St. Louis. I have personally driven to Pappy’s Smokehouse and Oklahoma Joe’s to try their ‘renowned’ BBQ across the country, and K and J beats them both handily. To top it off, the sides are also top notch. They served the best cole-slaw I have ever tasted, their potato salad and cream corn was also delicious. The restaurant is a hole in the wall, but don’t be fooled by the treasure that is in Montgomery, AL.

Perfect ribs, great sides, friendly family. I was in the area for a meeting so I decided to get some ribs to bring back to the office for my office manager and me. This restaurant’s name is apropos, as it literally looks like a shack from the outside, and would be very easy to pass by without a second thought.I was greeted by a friendly smiling woman who took my order and we chatted while the food was prepared. I am a rib lover, but I am pretty particular about how I like my ribs cooked. I don’t like them too tough or too overcooked. These ribs were PERFECT. The meat came off the bone cleanly, but there was enough chewiness and texture left in the meat that you knew you were eating RIBS. The sauce was tangy and a little sweet, again pretty darn close to perfection. The smoky flavor of the meat was not overwhelming, but was the perfect complement to the sauce. Our sides of collard greens and baked beans were homemade and very tasty, but the real attraction is the ribs. My office manager was similarly impressed, and asked me for the address of the place where I got these amazing ribs. The smoker outside the front door is a clue that they do things right at this establishment. These were as good as any ribs I have had in the area, and it is nice to support a locally-owned family run establishment. I will be back without a doubt.
