Yum!. Delicious, big portions. Comfy Atmosphere. Doesn’t feel pretentious. A nice laid back pizza place. Tastes very fresh and homemade.
Delicious Pies. I’ve been here numerous times in the past couple of months and I can’t believe that I hadn’t eaten here before. This place has it all– a cute location, a cute interior, a fountain outside, great beers on tap, and delicious food. They recently were able to accommodate a fairly large group I had meet up for dinner and did not give us any grief or hassle about it. Everyone that came had a great time. The pizza is delicious. I love a thin, chewy, bubbly crust with a slight crunch, and Midtown’s definitely delivers that great texture. Absolutely wonderful. The small pizza is plenty for two people to share for a meal; the large pizza will feed two couples with leftovers. The toppings are all fresh and unique and each of their specialty pizzas has a very distinctive flavor to it. My personal favorite is the Trastevre, which has roasted chicken, grape tomatoes, sweet peppers, arugula, parmesan cheese, and red sauce. Wash it down with one of their ever-rotating draught beers and you have a perfect meal. I’m so happy to have a place like this in Montgomery.
The next best thing to Italy. Wow. My wife and I stopped in to get some food as we were passing through town. We were very impressed with what we found. The fresh toppings and thin crust reminded us of the pizza we ate in Italy. It was so tasty and authentic we plan on stopping here the next time we find ourselves anywhere nearby! Definitely worth checking out if you have never had a real pizza before.
Our first visit….excellent pizza, great microbrew beer selection, and the best homemade canolis, ever.
I had the margherita pizza and it came with these grape tomatoes cut in two and sticking out of the pizza I was expecting sliced roma tomatoes and a crust that wasn’t burnt (just a little bit) over all it was just ok and the ceasar salad was loaded with crutons and the dressing didn’t have any distinct taste.
Best pizza in town. Iv been here at least once a month since moving here. Iv eaten every pizza on the menu minus 2 of them and I can tell you they are all good. The hummus is my go to appetizer/bar food when Im here though my girl enjoys the bruschetta more or the caprese. The cheese bread is good and its basically the size of a small pizza. They used to have an app called the Foccacia alle erbe that was great but they have since taken it off the menu. The pizza selection is good or you can build your own. Iv nevr built my own as we have been going down the list of the specialties. This is a thin crust establishment so if you dont like that be warned. New pasta every week and the two or three we have tried have been good, especially the vodka salmon pasta. The sandwhiches that Iv had were pretty good as well. Wait staff has always been good to us and good with drink refills. Beer selection is good with about 6 taps and more in bottles. They tend to rotate a couple of taps and now that bomber bottles are legal in AL they said they will rotate that too.
Pretty good pizza and salad. This is a nice, modestly sized little place on the back-side of a pleasant little strip mall on Zelda road. There is a small bar, a couple of video games and a couple of outdoor patio tables. You can order one of the specialty pizzas or design your own, which is what I did. I got the small pizza with red sauce, mozzarella, fennel sausage, mushroom and carmelized onions, along with the small house salad. Jo, my server, was very nice. Somehow my salad didn’t come out before the pizza, but that was taken care of promptly and they assured me the salad would be on the house, eventhough I didn’t complain–so that was very generous. The salad was very fresh, colorful and delicious–I’m glad I didn’t miss that. The pizza was a good size for 1 person, it was cooked perfectly (crispy on the edges, softer in the middle) and it was very good. I happen to like to taste the red sauce and I could barely detect it on this pizza, so next time I would probably ask for extra sauce. I also felt the pieces of sausage were so small that they lost some of their flavor in the cooking–slightly larger chunks work better in my opinion so I might try a different meat next time, but it was still a very nice pizza.
