Had lunch here today and the food was quite good. I loved the atmosphere and the interior was adorable with large chandlers hanging from the ceiling. I ordered the silver dollar sandwiches with a cup of black been soup. Soup was delicious and the sandwiches were good as well. One was a beef tenderloin and the other a fried green tomato blt (blt was by far the best). The only thing that lowers my rating was the service. It took forever to get our food. That wasn’t the worst part…our waitress was practically running from table to table. She never smiled, never offered explanation as to why it was taking so long, wouldn’t make eye contact for fear we would ask her something and had to be asked repeatedly for drink refills or crackers etc. I completely understand being understaffed and super busy but this was a whole new level. I’d give it another try only because the food really was good.

Just go and eat there! 🙂 I am here visiting and I was searching for a good place to eat and this is it. Cool atmosphere and great food.

Took my family there for a weekday breakfast. I had high hopes but felt like it was just mediocre. The breakfast smoked sausage was good, but the eggs benedict was not as everyone raved. The bakery had slim pickings. A cinnamon roll, two kinds of cookies, and one type of danish. I thought I would be overwhelmed by the selection. Don’t think we will return.

Simple, yet astonishing!. Shashy’s Bakery has many baked goods to offer that are truly delicious, and the dining experience is outstanding. We have eaten here quite a few times now and always find the service to be great, and the food is even better. Sunday Brunch is one of our favorite times to come dine at Shashy’s. I recommend it highly!!

Great Place. I love Shashy’s. I have eaten at Shashy’s for 18 years and never had a bad experience. The food is great. The staff always friendly and professional. From chicken salad to fresh vegetables, and ruebens, just to name a few. Every Thursday there is a Lebanese Platter that is to die for.

Mixed Feelings. Normally, Shashy’s is an excellent location to bring my office friends for an outstanding lunch. The beef tenderloin is absolutely amazing. The baked goods are phenomenal, the owner is a friendly guy who goes out of his way to make sure everyone is having a great meal, and the place is clean and elegant. However, the last time that I was in the restaurant, one of his blonde waitresses must have been having a pretty bad day. Not only was she short with my group and I, but when I went up to pay for our meal, she was quite literally cussing in front of the customers, slamming drawers and cabinets, stomping about and complaining about something or other. I was slightly concerned that the woman would say such foul things in front of paying customers. The poor girl at the register looked so embarrassed and concerned that the older woman would act in such a manner. I love Shashy’s, but maybe some employee restrictions should be put into place.
