Amazing Food. Some of the best Indian food you can get in Alabama. Service was friendly and attentive. Food was delicious. Will definitely be one of my new regular places.
YUMMY!. There are two reasons I tried Indian … The first is a movie from the 1980s called Dr. Detroit … Mullagatawny soup always sounded interesting. Second is because of British television. If you ever watched Red Dwarf, you will remember that Lister was always going on about curry and chicken vindaloo. After watching many episodes I decided that I needed to try Indian.Taste of India has some really fabulous food. The vindaloos are definitely excellent! I also really like the way they do Korma dishes. The lunch buffet is excellent. There is nothing like warm naan and mango chutney!I have eaten there several times and both the buffet and menu items are great!
Great Indian Food. I love this place. Terrific food. The kormas are awesome!I really like having the naan served fresh at the table.
This place has new management and a new cook. The quality and selection of the food has definitely improved. This is the only place around I can have a meal with nothing but vegtables and leave feeling satisfied. Service has improved over the old staff but still needs improvement. I’ve only tried the lunch buffet recently but it’s a great value for this type of food although a little toned down for sensitive Alabama palates.
Got food here to go. Thought it was a bit much the amount given. Got the tikka masala and it was great. Got the garlic naan and it was rubbery. My veg samosas were alright but I didn’t get any sauce with them and that was disappointing. He worst part was the rice pudding. It was so watery -milky you couldn’t even see the rice and it had no flavor!!! And it tasted like it was resting in an open container in the fridge for days. Dissappointed. Maybe I’ll give it another try but not as take home.
If you can’t be with the one you love…. Seeing as this is Bombay Masala: Part II, I braced myself for the worst, but it’s really not too bad. I can tolerate the lunchtime buffet because, well, there are no other Indian options in town. The lady there is chilly and indifferent, but that is par for the course. The food has come a long way from the overly salted, soggy and oily mess that was at Bombay Masala. It’s not a huge variety, but the veggie curries are usually good. The rest is pretty standard. I’ll continue to eat here as long as they’re open.
The food was very good and the service was great too. Our waitress was very pleasant and attentive. We had the butter chicken, mixed tandoori platter and garlic naan…yummy! My only complaint is that it was too much food. Looking forward to leftovers tomorrow!
