Service was terrible. Slow and no sense of urgency. We sat there for 20 minutes and didn’t even get water. After the server never resurfaced after asking for a menu, we decided to leave. And it wasn’t even crowded to justify slow service.

Bland. Title says it all. Started out with the watery and bland salsa. Thats ok I dont expect much from salsa here in Montgomery. Then came the chili colorado. First the menu says its made with chicken. Chili colorado is not made with chicken, its beef(strike one). you can add beef but that means the beef has not been cooked in the sauce which is what helps give it its great flavor. Knowing this I still ordered it as this is the menu item I use to test a restaurant for authentic flavor Id get back in Ca. What a surprise it was bland. The beef you could tell had been cooked seperatly and then thrown into a flavorless sauce. I dont know how you can make chili colorado, a dish made with lots of great ingredients so bland. Then came the beans. The beans were just as bland. Absolutly no flavor. The rice was typical mexican restaraunt rice. It had the most flavor out of anything I ate there and thats not saying much. Wait staff wasnt bad but they werent great either. They looked to be passing out a new menu item they were trying on everyone but they gave it to everyone but my girl and me. No biggie since we weren’t happy with any of the other food just thought it was odd to not hit every table and just skip over one. Asked for a drink menu but never received it. Wont be going back.

My wife and I really enjoyed our first visit. The service was excellent and will definitely plan on visiting in the future.

Downhill since last time. The food here isnt BAD per se, it just has no flavor. Queso had nothing added – just melted cheese. The guacomole was turning brown. Salsa had no heat. The best part of mexican food is the seasoning. This place has none. I used to eat here on a regular basis but since quality has gone down so much I won’t be back.

Tipico de Mexico. Ate there with my wife this evening. The carnitas (#77) were awesome! Very tender chunks of marinated pork, served with tortillas, avocado slices, tomato, a small mild pepper, and of course the obligatory rice and beans. The last time I had carnitas was at La Zona Rosa, and they were dry. I have to say that Tipico’s is much better. My wife had beef fajitas. Served with all sorts of goodies; we brought quite a bit home as portions were huge.

SUPERB Mexican Cuisine. EXCELLENT!!!!! words can’t describe how great it is. The food is AWESOME, the service is great, and it is one of the cleanest restaurant that I have been to. WONDERFUL atmosphere. I highly recommend the California Burrito, their Fajitas (grilled), their HOMEMADE Margaritas are great and what is even better they are only $1.99 EVERY Thursday and Saturday (and they are not the waterdown kind, it is their regular home recepie). I have found their menu on their Facebook fan page. They just recently started offering their HOMEMADE Sangria. I am not too much into Sangria BUT this is by far the BEST Sangria that I have ever had. I could just keep going and going just like the Enegizer bunny about this Restaurant, but it would be even Better that you Go and TRY IT.!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! =D
