Delicious and fun. Tomatinos was actually where I had my very first slice of pizza about 15 years ago. IM HOOKED! The best part is the location. Its next door to the little gelato/coffee shop and the Capri. Tomatinos is one of the best parts of being from Old Cloverdale. Pizza+Orangina=Delicious.
Great little pizzeria In a cool neighborhood. They have interesting toppings so they’re more fun than the usual neighborhood establishment. Highly recommend for families or couples just out to have a healthy but yummy dinner. They have a nice honey whole wheat crust what else should I add oh yes I forgot gelato next-door.
Great Pizza In The South??? It’s true!. I’m a Jersey boy, I pretty much live in the pizza capital of the world. I am usually extremely skeptical when it comes to a pie outside of the NJ/NY area.I have to say I was impressed. Closest thing I have had to a pie back home.
Great pizza and salad. Good service. We’ll be back.
The first time I ate here the pizza was over cooked. I decided to give it another try, and it was very good. There’s not a whole lot of seats, and it’s usually very warm inside.
Domino’s tastes better, and has better service.. The boyfriend and I went at 9:15; didn’t get our pizza until 10:00. They thought cleaning up and jamming to reggae were more important than proper customer service. For the wait, our personal margherita and vegetarian pizzas were SO not worth it (although we tipped) — they even got a few details of our order wrong. The crust and sauce are bland; the toppings weren’t fresh. If you’re gonna be jerks to us, at least let your pizza be good… And at least if we order Domino’s, they don’t treat us wrong because of our appearance or skin color. This is not my first time having crappy service from them, and this is my last dollar spent at Tomatino’s.
Plan ahead. If you’re expecting to eat in at lunch here you are pretty naive. The restaurant is slightly tiny (but aren’t they always the best ones?) Explore the Old Cloverdale/Garden districts and I guarantee you’ll find someplace to sit & enjoy their delicious (beyond delicious) pizza. Give yourself some extra time and have Gelato/coffee/tea at Cafe Louisa two doors down. This area of Montgomery (especially this entire corner) is definitely worth some exploration!
