Waitress didn’t honor mil discount. GREAT oysters with an excellent happy hour but make sure you ask for a mil discount BEFORE they bring the check or they won’t honor it. Waitress charged people for things they didn’t order and didn’t correct it, granted there was 12 of us, but correct the mistake to earn that extra tip. Again, great food but keep an eye on the service.
Cole Slaw. Awesome cole slaw
The staff seems to try hard but there also seems to be zero management presence. Food quality is unchecked, tables remain dirty, and staff are poorly trained. That being said I am new to the south and this seems to be the status quo. I suppose it’s a cultural thing.
Good. The food was good. Well seasoned. The fried oysters were crispy, not soggy. The sides were good, sweet tea was sweet… I’m going back.
Except for the food and the service, it was not too bad. Probably one of my worst dining experiences (I a senior citizen and have eaten out a lot). Of four meals at our table, one was satisfactory – each of the others had problems. My Seafood Napoleon even looked unappetizing. The eggplant was overcooked to beyond recognition and was presented as a glob of grease drippings with a few fried shrimp and oysters buried therein. This glob was floating on top of a sea of linguine and Alfredo sauce. It did not taste much better than it looked. One of our party had a steak that was over cooked and his baked potato had sour cream which he had specifically stated that he did not want. The steak sauce he requested did not arrive at the table till the roving manager was asked for it. One of the four meals arrived about 20 minutes later than the rest with the excuse that somehow that part of the order never made it to the kitchen. The roving manager did inquire about our level of satisfaction but this was before we totally realized how bad it had been. The manager did offer to do something but the thought of more bad food just was not appealing. It was kind of humorous that he suggested I try their restaurant near my home town — not a chance! Way too bad to be given a second chance.
Got shrimp and grits and the shrimp was tiny and looked like frozen shrimp. Way overpriced
The cheesy grits and shrimp are amazing.
