I ate lunch one time a while back. I saw the kitchen staff making liberal use of Lowery’s seasoning salt, which contains MSG. I react poorly to that substance, to say the least and that day was no different. I will never go back.

Simply awesome food. A gem of the city. We love the Bayou Classic and Louis Armstrong. For those who want a Cajun style lunch or dinner, this is the spot. However, they have much more. The collard green soup is awesome. The specialty tea is awesome.

Yesterday was my first time there and the soup of the day was the collard green soup and I fell in love with it. The chicken pasta is delicious also. I have to go back. And I can’t forget the pineapple tea.

Fantastic little restaurant, glad we ran into it. Great service and music. Excellent food. Will definitely stop here again next drive through town.

The service and food was wonderful. I had the Louis Armstrong and it was Devine. I’d recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great food. The tea is good too…the add a little twist to it.

Outstanding food and outstanding service. I had the Jeffrey Darden (Hashbrown casserole topped with grilled chicken breast, ham, melted Swiss cheese, side of red beans and rice, and Texas toast). Be sure to try the tea. It is clear why they won both the chef’s choice AND the people’s choice awards at the 2016 Cajun cook-off!

This place is small but great! The food is great. The staff are professional and always great you with a beverage. It is definitely worth a try.
