Mediocre food at best. I had the Mushroom Swiss burger and French fries. The fries were burnt and the mushrooms were very sparse. My date had oysters and he said they were fair but they used powdered Parmesan cheese and too much of it.
Won’t go back. I was in the area for work with my husband & he recommended Jefferson’s. I always like to try local establishments & he had been there before & liked it. It has a decent atmosphere & was crowded so clearly some many like it better than I did. The service was fine, but the food left a lot to be desired. The chips were straight from a bag & the salsa from a jar. The batter wasn’t quite right on the fried pickles & they were still very sour. I had a burger & the meat was such poor quality that it was very greasy & had three bone chips in the fourth of it that I ate. I will try some place different next time.

Oxford, Al Jefferson’s. My husband took me to Jefferson’s in Oxford, AL today for my 61st birthday. I had mentioned to him that I would like to try it sometime. What a horrible experience!!! After waiting 15 minutes for one of the waitresses to bring us a menu and take our drink order, we walked out. We were sitting in the middle of the main dining room with numerous tables with other customers being waited on while we were ignored by every waitress working there. On our way out, there was a waitress standing at the bar talking to the bartender and we told them why we were leaving. They acted surprised and asked where were we sitting even though she was one of the waitresses that had walked by us on numerous occassions. I can’t comment on the food, but the service is lousy or should I say it is non-existant!!! We won’t be back.
Just Passing Through and Hungry. Right off the highway sits this restaurant and if you are just passing through and you have a taste for something tasty outside of the fast food chains, check out this restaurant. They have a wide selection of items anywhere from oysters to a burger. I’ve tried a few things like there sweet and sassy wings and a grilled chicken sandwich. I enjoyed them both. However, if you are in a bit of a hurry then you may want to try this on another occasion, but if you have some time to kill, the food is worth the wait.
