Hot salsa and a number of good combos
Los Mexicanos hwy 78 Oxford AL. Seriously this was my dinner at Los Mexicanos in oxford al. It looked so much like throw up I couldn’t even take a bite of it. The taco had ground beef and cheese only in it the tostado is that big round splat under the taco with a melted cheese sauce and ground beef soggy gross. The cheese enchilada too was soggy and gross. Oh did. I forget to mention this was the second plate i ordered because the carne asada i originally ordered came to me ice cold. The cheese dip and salsa was great! Don’t recommend this restaurant to anyone and to top it all off, not one apology from the restaurant staff
I am from San Antonio so perhaps my standards for Mexican food are higher, but the food here is sub par. Dry beans, burned chips, and soupy salsa with no heat. The enchiladas and chile relleno were the biggest disappointments for me though.
Very good salsa, as long as you don’t mind a bit of spice. Warm crisp chips, awesome cheese dip, great service, nice laid back atmosphere. MUCH better than The Frontier mexican restaurant that is just down the road. Can’t wait to go back!
1st Visit – Not so great. Food was hot and fresh, but bland and dry. I had the Combo Dinner that included a burrito, chile relleno and rice. The chicken burrito was super dry and the chile relleno was missing the star of the dish – the actual chile! It was literally an ice cream scoop of their beef filling, covered with melted cheese. Am I missing something? Restaurant was clean (they had a health rating of 98) and staff was nice, but don’t go here for the food.
La favorita is one of the best things on the menu!
Not bad. Iv had better but considering this Anniston Alabama think thats enough said. Friendly staff. The shrimp cocktail was a little too sweet but had ALOT of shrimp, great value; it just needs a liitle more kick behind it.
