My first time visiting Zaxby’s. I experienced the staff not putting on gloves to prepare my item and when I asked the staff member to do so she did not know where the gloves were located. She had to go to the back to look for them and then decided to tell the rest of the staff who decided to stop what they were doing and look through the open window where they place the prepared food to look at me with disgust and then they smirked and went back to work. I was appalled to think that this was such an issue to follow regulations. I then asked to speak to a manager and was asked to wait why they found the manager. After waiting I saw there was a manager on the floor and proceeded to speak with her with about the whole issue. I asked to step to the side by the bathroom/kitchen area so the other customers would not be bothered with story. She was very understanding and listened to my complaint. While I was speaking with her another person came out of the kitchen and was very loud and obnoxious and said, ‘What is the PROBLEM’? He then says, ‘I am the manager’. I said to him, I am speaking with the assistant manager and when I am finished she can relay to you what happened but give me a chance to finish what I was telling her. He looked miffed to say the least. And when I was finished I decided that I was not going to let her have to deal with him so I did and asked her to let him know that I can now tell him the story. He came out and I explained it to him. He did not seem as concerned to have me come back after all that I dealt with but was anxious to tell me about horrible customers he had in the past instead of seeing that I was not one. I told him that this was my first time ever and this whole situation including his way that he spoke with me left me with a negative feeling about Zaxby’s and he did not seem to care. I called their customer service and NEVER got a response and called two more trikes and spoke with the company’s message person and still NO RESPONSE. I even filed two complaints online and STILL NO RESPONSE! I do not like the Phenix City location nor the corporate division or the online division.
