I must have missed something tonight…. I saw a lot of great reviews, so I decided to call and place my order. I called, they said it would be done in 20 minutes. I got there 25 minutes later, then sat at the bar waiting. 30 minutes of sitting, my order is finally ready. The tired dismissive attitude of everyone that worked there, the 55 minutes of total waiting, then the incredibly generic, soggy, and cold pizza and flavorless fried mushrooms made me wonder what happened. Maybe it was just an off day, but I seriously doubt I will ever go back. You’re better off with Domino’s or Papa John’s.
Terrible service. Just left there because we (group of 4) walked in and were told a 20 min wait which we were good with. After some time waiting, they seated 2 groups immediately as they walked in after us. An explanation from the host would have been nice. As we told him the situation, he still didn’t respond!!!! So we are now dining down the street at Stone’s Throw Bar & Grill. Will not be back to Area 41.
Great Pizza!. My husband and I are pretty picky pizza eaters…LOVED this place! The pizza is excellent and it is kid friendly. We’ve been looking for a great pizza place since we moved from Atlanta. We certainly found it at Area 41!

The food here is excellent. Pizza is above average every time and other menu items may be even better. The shrimp corn chowder is on par with a much more upscale restaurant. And where else can two people eat for under $25? It is a no brainier. Unless you look at service. My family and I were the only active table for lunch. Waitress was too busy to care. She took drink order right away but then abandoned us for 25 minutes. We had to ask for just about everything. I hope the apathetic service doesn’t ultimately kill this place. It would be a shame with such great food.
Excellent pizza. I went to Area 41 pizza last Tuesday, wasn’t very crowded which was nice. I was there with my mom and best friend from out of town. We ordered baked feat and chopped salad to share. Both were delicious and well prepared. The large meat and three pizza we ordered/shared was AMAZING !!! Sauce,crust,cheese and toppings were all excellent ! Service was OK for a slow weeknight, but food definitely made up for service. I will definitely be going back,one of the best pizzas I have had in Bham area.
