Went here on a Friday night with my husband around 7p.m. There was a 20-30 minute wait for a table, so we choose to wait just a few minutes for the bar. We sat in the 2 seats at the bar that faced the open kitchen, giving us a straight view/earshot of the servers and kitchen staff. Our server was one of the bartenders. I ordered a bloody mary, which was lacking and my hubby had craft beers. The vavavoom oysters were out of these world delicious! My hubby had the cheese curd burger which was super good. However, with an open kitchen, you would think the staff would be more aware of their actions and speech and that maybe the chef would be more friendly.
We were walking out of our b&b and other guests could tell we were deciding on a restaurant and called out to us to try this place because they had a good experience there. Ditto! We really liked it and the hostess and our waitress were super friendly and helpful! And after going through 5 states in 1 day, I was in need of a friendly face, and good food of course… The crab claw/calamari small plate was a good choice for appetizer and came as a generous portion. We split the Cuban sandwich and it was so delicious as well. My only disappointment was that I was too full to get dessert! travelandtable.com
Great food descent price Had special entree for Valentines day Fried lobster tail shrimp and grits with a great beer selection will Def go bk
Good food and good price. I’ve been a couple times and tried a few menu items. Many items on the menu are very good and only some are mediocre but most are well priced for the quality and quantity. The mixed drinks I’ve had there were very good. The decor is modern and cool. My biggest complaint is service. It’s either terribly slow or just poorly executed (missing ordered items, drinks never coming out, tickets being wrong, etc). I recommend visiting during lunch when the service is a little more organized (but still has its hiccups). Definitely a nice lunch date location, especially if you get to sit outside.
We went twice in one week! The first visit was on a Friday night and we reserved the tap table they have available. The taps weren’t exactly working, but George Reis himself was there to pour our beer and be sure everything ran smoothly. We had eight people, our waiter was attentive and the food was great! Our second visit was sitting at the bar for dinner. The hummus appetizer is great! The burger was good, well-cooked, but the chicharrones were a little much for us – but certainly not bad! The grilled fish Reuben was great – perfectly cooked fish, yummy cheese, good slaw and bread. A nice balanced dish.Highly recommend for a date night or fun night out with friends!
The dining experience was very pleasant! Our server Stephen (sp?) was patient and very knowledgeable. We were very impressed with the new design/decor changes since it was 26. The crab rice cake was phenomenal! As well as the shrimp & grits dishWe will be back!
Walked in without a reservation and sat at the bar tonight. With a HUGE crowd on an opening week, we were so pleased. Duck confit appetizer was good, oysters were great, rabbit and dumplings and prosciutto oven bread superb. 32 beers on tap, 10(ish) wines, as well as various cocktails– we had so much attention lavished on us by the staff, and during a busy time, that showed a lot of attention to detail in a casual restaurant. Highly recommended.
