Fantastic. I don’t eat fried foods very often but when I do Green Acres is the go-to-spot to satisfy my cravings just right. It tastes like some good down home chicken. It’s not fancy. It’s just simple, tasty, and expertly prepared. I also like that they keep their prices reasonable and fair in consideration of the people that they serve. Green Acres food always tastes fresh and and their chicken is clean unlike a lot of OTHER fried chicken spots around town that don’t even wash their chicken good (i.e. cooking chicken with the feathers still on it and tasting like it’s been cooked in week old grease). I order my chicken all the way with extra hot sauce and ketchup, salt and pepper. Sometimes I add lemon pepper too. It’s delicious! And the staff has always been nice to me–they’ve never been rude even once. As a matter of fact, I’ve never seem them be rude to anyone there. People come in there from every walks of life and Green Acres treats them all the same. This is some of the best fried chicken that I’ve ever had!
Very Disappointed. I’ve heard about Green Acres since I was younger coming to Birmingham and while the other locations may be the talk, the Center Point location was terrible. Where I’m from when you order wings with sauce, that’s exactly what you get . . . it seemed like they spent more time wiping the sauce off the wings then putting sauce on them. I was extremely disappointed after being told such good things.

Green Acres chicken is Awesome. I also appreciate Greg, the owner of Green Acres for his willingness to help grow business in the Birminngham area .
Great chicken and fish sandwiches too. This place really does make great wings. They give you a choice of sauces or salt & pepper (salt and pepper is best in my book, but I’m sure many would disagree). The catfish sandwich is also very good, fried in a tasty breading. This is probably the best place to eat downtown. But it is *crowded* at lunch time! There is no place to sit, so plan to take your meal out. The service is fast, and they appreciate it if you are ready to order and ready to pay.
