We had an 8 o’clock reservation but they didnt have us down when we got there. However, they were able to fit us in with a ten minute wait at the bar. At the bar, I had a drink called the Forbidden Fruit that tasted like Apple pie. We both had the NY strip, which was unbelievably delicious! Then we had creme brulee for dessert and fought over the last bites. It had a thickness to it like cheesecake with an amazing caramelized crust!! The place is small, but super cute. Great experience!
Had the chance to try Roots & Revelry for a work dinner last week. The atmosphere is absolutely beautiful. It was a little loud making conversation at a table of 8 difficult but the space was lovely. Our food was really good overall and service was quick and responsive as well as knowledgeable of the dishes. We tried the hummus appetizer as well as the pb&j appetizer and they were both delicious. I had the scallops with an amazing mix of peas, tomatoes and okra in a very light broth with dill. Perfect summer dish!

Good place, good location and the art on the wall is very nice. The only thing that is a little annoying is the loud music added to the noise of the people.
Nice dcor and location. The food and drinks were delicious. We tried the benedict, omelet, fries and mimosas. If we are to change one thing, it would be the music and noise. It tends to get a little too loud inside.
I had the pleasure of dining at this new beautiful restaurant, roots & revelry, this weekend in the newly renovated Thomas Jefferson Tower in downtown Birmingham. The food was phenomenal! The staff was friendly and very informed about the menu and history of how the restaurant came about. (Kevin was great!) we had the New Orleans BBQ shrimp, grilled octopus, chilaquiles. Everything was tasty and seasoned well. I really enjoyed the upscale chic ambience with affordable pricing!
