Best Indian food I have ever had! I tried the Chef’s Speciality and enjoyed it immensely. Just the right amount of spices. It is near the hospital and I nice little walk after being cooped up inside all day.
Heard about this place from a friend and trust me I will never ever take recommendations from him again. I called in to order take out tonight and was planning on buying 2 entrees if they substituted the rice with roti as a side for 1 entree but NO they had to be strict about it. I said OK your loss make it just one entree and am so glad I did that. I was starving and usually anything you eat when you are starving tastes great but not this time, it was easier to stay hungry than gulp down the gooey mess they offered.I am a great fan of vindaloo and coming from India I really know what it should taste like. They got it all wrong right from the choice of vegetables. When you see broccoli in an Indian curry run and never look back. It has no place in any Indian dish, it just doesn’t fit in. All the wrong vegetables in the vindaloo was overcooked to a mush. The spices were also wrong, vindaloo is supposed to be sour and spicy and there was no hint of sourness in their vindaloo. The Roti was definitely not made out of wheat flour as it was very elastic and hard. Very disappointed and will never ever visit Sitar again. I wouldn’t recommend Sitar to anyone. It was a total waste of money.
No more Sitar for me and my friends.. Disappointed by the service. Called to place an order for a takeout. Was told it should be ready in 35 mins. I got there 40 mins later, much to my surprise there were already 5-6 people ahead of me waiting for their takeout order. As I walked in, a frustrated lady walked to the counter to ask how much longer it will take. I didn’t give much thought and waited for my order. I ended up waiting 50 mins after the promised time. 3 people walked in after me got their orders before me. I will never go to sitar again in my life. Food was okay nothing great. 2 naans missing from the order.
Heartless place!. The people who run this restaurant are heartless. It was a horrible experience. Not an ounce of even basic humanity!I highly recommend you take your custom somewhere else!
Excellent!. Casual, comfortable dining – very friendly staff. Lamb rogan josh really flavorful. Bullet naan with cilantro is so amazing Karahi Aloo Palak and chicken vindaloo some of my favorites. Papadum with dipping sauces is such a nice app.Did not think I would like the chickpea dish – Aloo Chole, (I don’t love chickpeas), but was pleasantly surprised how good it was. Good to go with friends to sample many things. Will go back again and again.
Good lunch buffet! Not a big variety of dishes to choose from on the buffet but each one is tasty and filling.
One of our favorite places to eat. We love going to Sitar. They have very good buffet, very good service.i never get tired of the naan and the tikka’s
