Clean your tables…. Went during Sidewalk and even with it being late was glad they were open. The seating is limited and the table had not been cleaned. Despite that we were hungry and even with their a/c not working a booth with a fan blowing on you is better than nothing. The food was cooked okay and the texture/look of it was fine but there was no seasoning or salt on it. The only condiment they had was this sauce reminiscent of Tabasco and then I had to get up and ask for it. I was so hungry I ate all of it, complete with coating it with the pepper sauce, but thought for what I paid it was overpriced. They do offer free refills on sodas which is at least something and when nothing else is open you will take what you can get. But please clean your tables…I coated myself with Purell when I left.
The food is delicious. I especially like the Ox tails and Jerk Chicken.11 Aug, 2014The food is great.. I especially like the ox tails and jerk chicken. Highly recommend it!
The beef patties were great! Can’t wait to try the jerk chicken!
I went there one evening around closing. I got jerk chicken and cabbage. Guess what? My cabbage was spoiled. The chicken was good though. The only complaints I have is that maybe you shouldn’t let food sit out all day and coco bread should be toasted, not microwaved. It totally ruins the taste. I would visit again, hopefully not to receive spoiled cabbage. I like this place for convenience but it is not the best place for Jamaican food in Birmingham.
Good food!’ Food cooked so good and seasoned and meat falling off the bone!
Went around 4pm and they were out of jerk chicken and plantains. I did try the chicken curry which was good but I thought it was overpriced.
