Worst venue in bham!. I went to see aaron carter with a good friend.. we had a great time. i was on the guest list as a friend of the guitar player who played with dirty pop (as the opener). at the end of the show my friend and i were hanging out taking pics of aaron and having a great time. we had just purchased beers from the bar.. we drank very moderately (maybe 3 beers each). one of the bouncers i suppose didn’t like the look of us. he told us we weren’t VIP? and started shoving us out of the bar.. I told them i was staying on the porch to finish the beer i had purchased.. they came onto the porch moments later and ripped the beers from our hands. told us to leave and continued to shove us until we were out of the front gate.. this is literally the worst bar/venue in birmingham.. i hope we all boycott this awful establishment until it is run under ground or changes owneship.. i have played multiple shows at zydeco and have watched it bring in many different acts over the years. i have played music in this town for years. i hope this establishment gets what it deserves. complete shut down. fk zydeco.. the 90s are over. your bouncers are a bunch of premature ejaculators who fear other guys only bc of their own sexual dysfunction. i hope your bar is humiliated and destroyed.. thanks. ps.. i have never been kicked out of any bar and i have been a regular at tons of bham spots for many years. your days are numbered. thanks zydeco. dkheads.
This was a great place to listen to live music. Layne and the staff there are great!
