Better call first. ALWAYS out of baked potato’s and/or ribs. Love the food but every time we go they are out of something. Very frustrating to unload small children and then have to turn around and leave especially when you really like the food. There are several other BBQ options in Tuscaloosa that you don’t have to call ahead to. Such a shame.
Last in Town. In a town of Champions on the field and in the BBQ pit Dickeys is in the Conference USA. Don’t waste a meal in town here. There’s way better. Try Archibalds, Pottery Grill, or even a Dreamland if you still believe that hype.
Quick, clean, Ice Cream!. Brisket Sliced to order right in front of you, super service, and did I mention free ice cream. I love the Dickey’s concept and how it’s different then the other BBQ you usually find in Alabama. This location is managed very well and is super clean. I also love the decor with using Tornado damaged pieces in decorating the building.09 Jul, 2013This is barbecue done right.. I had the brisket. It was some of the best barbecue I’ve ever had. Also, for a laid back place, the service was great. They had a Manager working the floor to make sure all the tables were enjoying their meals. I will be back.
As a native Texan I was excited to see Dickey’s arrive. They have the BEST turkey around and the brisket is super. This is Texas style BBQ and I recommend it to anyone who will listen.
Worst BBQ ribs I have had. Over cooked and burnt. Kinda like jerky or a football with sauce on it. Others in the party had bbq plates. They advised nasty and over cooked also. You got me once but never again.

Since 1941 and a Alabama’s First. This restaurant takes great pride in all they do. Offering all meats slow cooked as well as several different sauces. Kid friendly and a family environment. Kid’s eat free on Sunday and free soft serve ice cream every day. YUM!
