Great meat and veggies diner. My go to for meat and veggies. Spaghetti is very good…homemade. Catfish is very good…large serving, great price. Atmosphere is so-so, typical hometown diner. Service is excellent, priced for family dining.
Great burgers and omelets. Wrights has become one of my favorite local restaurants to eat at regularly. Their bacon cheeseburgers are excellent. The bacon on them is exceptional. Its nice and thick and usually cooked fairly crispy. Their onion rings make a nice side item. I find some of their other items to be a little low grade, but their prices are overall fairly good, and any low grade items they have are inexpensive. For breakfast their Western omelets are just incredible. Id love to know what brand of sausage they use cause its the best mild sausage Ive ever had. Its just excellent. Their grits and hash browns are also really good, and my wife loves their honey buns. Also, the place has a nice friendly atmosphere with good service.
Tuscaloosan eats hamburger. Got a hamburger there today, May 10, 2014, and it was fantastic. Perfect, actually.
A Tuscaloosa Tradition. II have enjoyed Wright’s for over 32 years. Even after the the tornado that hit Tuscaloosa so hard, Wright’s reopened quickly and remains one of the few places left to eat on University Blvd East, Wright’s has the best BLT in town, with extra thick bacon, and it is only $2.25. The homemade lemon pie is fabulous. Lunch plate specials are tasty and reasonably priced. Best of all, the waitresses are friendly and will get your order right every time.
