  GREAT ICE CREAM AND SHAKES. My son goes to Pizitz Middle school so that should tell you we go quite often. We both love their milkshakes. But I do not know why my jeans are getting tighter, the dryer must be shrinking them. I am glad school will be letting out sone because maybe the problem with my jeans will get better.

  Satisfaction Guaranteed. My son and I were driving down Montgomery Highway Saturday and we passed an open Bruster’s Ice Cream. It being our favorite ice cream joint we had to stop. We knew that their one scoop waffle cones were more than substantial enough (they fill the entire cone up and then top it with a scoop) and so decided to each get one. I tried a new flavor called Gone Bananas, comprised of banana ice cream ribboned with thick fudge swirl and chalked full of roasted pecan pieces. My son picked his all time favorite Bruster’s flavor, Cherry Vanilla, which is a creamy vanilla ice cream enrobing what seems like a fistful of crisp, juicy, bright red cherries. Both packed, and I mean packed into their tender not too thick waffle cones, it reminded me why I’ve been so bummed out that the Bruster’s near me is closed for the winter. We’ve tried our hand at Cold Stone Creamery and weren’t too impressed, Bruster’s delivers, period. Apparently their Montgomery Highway location is still open this time of year, my kids and I will be back before spring swings around for some serious and reliable ice cream. I only hope the recent permanent closings are done, and that those that remain standing come back strong. We will offer our support whenever possible.
