Worst mexican food…wait..I wouldn’t even call it mexican food. I just had the worst dinner ever…and paid too much for it! I wouldn’t even call this mexican food! I ordered the fish tacos, that came with rice and beans. Nothing like a slab of tasteless fish on a flour tortilla.The beans tasted like they were from a can, and the rice was dry and tasteless. I will NEVER go back to this place again!I told the cashier and she just shrugged her shoulders. I guess when you have clientel that don’t know mexican food and keep coming back…who cares.
El Poblano is definitely the best Mexican restaurant for the price in vestavia hills. The BEST salsa in town! We always have great service, and the food is always prepared just right. I think the portions are good for the price you pay. We go every week!

Very disappointed!. I have noticed not many updated reviews……but here’s one……we have supported El Pab as it is affectionately known and was so disappointed tonight…..they are consistently going downhill with the food….There are too many competitors out there with 5 miles of El Pab. We have not been there in awhile and gave it another chance and were 95% displeased….Service is friendly and fast, but food and what I considered the best margarita……were very disappointing! Sorry for the bad review, but that is only how you improve and get better…..just better correct or your competitors will put you out of business.

Neighborhood Restaurant. My family has been enjoying lunch and dinner for years at this neighborhood restaurant. You are quickly greeted at the door, seated, and then always served promptly. My children were introduced to this restaurant at about 2 and love that they are recognized by the staff and offered their favorite seating. Our favorites include starting with chips and cheese, their wonderful rice with green peas, and almost always a grilled chicken quesadillo. My husband and I often share a fajita!
