Maybe because the pizza really is fantastic, maybe because I always met my dad for lunch here, but I love it. Honestly, this place doesn’t come to mind when I’m thinking about what I want to eat, but it should.
Really good spaghetti and meatballs! Loved it! My friend got the peppers and sausage with spaghetti. We really enjoyed ourselves. I love Italian. We will be back:)
Major Fail!!! This used to be one of our favorite places, but never again! Last night on the way home from Mississippi, the wife and I decided to drive 20 miles out of the way just to pick up dinner to go. While I understand menus change from time to time, I was assured I could add toppings to my calzone to make it similar to what I liked. So, I ordered a veggie calzone, add spinich and italian sausage for $2 more. However, when we sat down to eat an hour later, it was just their standard veggie calzone. $2 will not make a difference in my life, but I hate people who deliberately RIP-OFF others to make an extra buck! We can all choose where to spend our money, but none of mine will go to Salvatore’s in the future
Complicated menu but mostly pizza, pasta, calzones, & sandwiches. All done very well! Sometimes chaotic because it’s a small place, but the food is good. I’ve had several pastas and all have been really good. I really like the sausage and peppers pasta. Their spinach mushroom pizza is heaven.
Just tried this place, we ate there and had a wonderful Salvatores special. It was very good and in my opinion very reasonably priced
Feel ripped off by dine in at Salvadore’s – but food is good. $10 + a tip = $12 for 2 small (but delicious) manicotti! Oh wait – that’s for dine in – if you you order them out you get 3! I will never dine in again! Poor taste Sal to treat your dine-in customers that way.
I have lived in Italy and the food is Authentic like it or not.. The Calzones to me are what I go for. The mozzarella will stretch all the way to Gatlinburg if you don’t bite it off. While Sal is not a real people person he his so busy that he makes up for it in the meal. Best Italian lunches in Alabama Bar None.
