Went for dinner tonight to 301 Bistro which is located in what used to be the old L & N club. It is a beautiful old train station with many old or original features which make it an amazing space. The outdoor area was perfect for dinner tonight with the warm January weather. The service was great and the food was fair but the atmosphere more than made up for the limited menu. I would certainly go back if only for the beautiful surroundings!

Fantastic holiday atmosphere, delicious signature cocktails and even better food. Waiter was very knowledgeable on menu and suggestions without being pushy or annoying – drinks from bar were delicious! Do not go without ordering the Rueben spring rolls as a starter! This dish is now one I plan to eat once a week. We both had the 16oz hand-cut Ribeye aged 28 days. Both were grilled to perfection and were the perfect anniversary night splurge. Everything was absolutely delicious and delightful! I can’t understand or agree with any review that isn’t rated near perfection on this gem of a spot in TTown.

We ate here several months back for our anniversary and did not at all enjoy our experience. We waited an hour (Like, no, seriously. An hour. Not an exaggeration.) for our food to come out, during which we looked around desperately for our server so we could get refills, to no avail as he had disappeared into the abyss. When the food was brought out, we were surprised to find that it was room temp, not piping hot like one would expect after waiting so long for it to be prepared. We took a couple of bites and the flavor of the food was bland and very disappointing, after seeing all of their interesting menu choices. At that point, we flagged down another server to grab the manager for us. We shared our disappointment with the meal- one that would have cost us around $60 after tax and tip. We barely got an apology and no offer to make things right. She just removed the plates and told us to have a good night, leaving us no incentive to return for a second try. We ended up getting chicken wings elsewhere and enjoyed our anniversary on the couch watching a movie. Don’t waste your time or money on this establishment.

I have absolutely no idea why this place has a 3.0 or lower rating. I’ve had a lot of filets in my lifetime, and I can honestly say one of the best steaks I have ever had was at this restaurant. Me and my family agreed that our all of our meals were outstanding, along with our tasty drinks made from the bar. The service was also great along with the cool atmosphere. It was previously the old train station that they renovated. Don’t believe these rating because you’ll be disappointed you passed over on this place.

One of the best meals I have had in a while. I had a salmon dish and my boyfriend had the steak. Both were absolutely delicious and the drinks complimented the meal well. I enjoyed everything about this place and would highly recommend trying it.

Great food and excellent service – the pork chop was a killer and my wife’s salmon was tasty. Started with the ruben spring roll…wow, great flavor and really unique. The atmosphere is incredible. Food came quickly, but not to the pointor feeling rushed. Lots of options on the menu we wanted to try, so we’re planning a return visit. Not sure of the name, but the Kentucky whiskey barrel beer was a great match for the pork chop.

This place is very good. They have a wide selection of craft beers, good wine, and excellent food. My new favorite in Tuscaloosa for a nice meal.
