Chuy’s is really the only option for Tex-Mex in Tuscaloosa. Highlights are the queso, the jalapeo ranch, and pretty much every other menu item. This is a huge get for future generations of students, faculty, and townies alike.
I’ve eaten here twice. I love the dips/salsa and tortillas I could eat that as a meal in itself. Wait staff has been attentive and fast; however the second time eating here, I felt like the waiter was rushing us. The steak fajitas are surprisingly good, well seasoned, and tender. I love the flavor of the Baja Shrimp tacos.
