Definetly the best Japanese/sushi in town. Best quality of the Japanese grills. I love the crab angel roll. Service is always good. I could eat here everyday.

I went to Hokkaido’s last week with my cousin. I thought it would be cool because I LOVE Japanese foods. We got there and I ordered tea and an appetizer: Sesame Chicken, I believe. It was great. Then I ordered soup with chicken, tempura shrimp, broccoli, and bean sprouts. It was DISGUSTING. The noodles were the thickest noodles I’ve ever seen. They had a bad smell to them as well. I could tell it was nothing but white-flour and water. The chicken was ironically dry even though it was submerged in soup. The tempura (fried shrimp) was flavorless and dry. I only at the broccoli from the dish. I had to send it back, though, because it was not worth my money. The waitress was so nice and patient! She completely agreed that the dish was distasteful and took it off of the receipt. I then ordered sushi. It wasn’t the best. But definitely my 2.5 stars is for the decorations and the waitress. Sucky food, though.

Meh.. Out of the small handful of times that I have visited Hokkaido, nothing has ever made me want to return. On my last visit, I ordered a fried sushi roll and a side of veggies. The roll was sloppy, they forgot the veggies and our waiter was a little too absent. As soon as I went to take the first bite, the roll fell to pieces into a lukewarm, greasy mess. Everyone always talks about how good this place is and maybe I’ve just had a few bad experiences, but at this point in time I’m not a fan.
