My wife and I have always enjoyed our experiences at Iguana Grills (the Hoover location and Tuscaloosa location). Tonight we stopped in with our three month old and my parents in law for a later dinner. The service was prompt and polite. The food was good, though the fajita style chile relleno was a bit bland, but the steak within it was well enough seasoned to make up for it. I do have one issue that has become kind of a big deal for me. I am a full-time dad with an infant, who is with me virtually everywhere I go (often my wife is not with us during the day). I would love to see a changing table in the men’s room (or a family restroom with a changing table). While my typical attitude is, if there is no changing table in the men’s room any table becomes a changing table, I respected the other patrons and asked my wife to take our daughter to the women’s room (where she found a dirty changing table). It wasn’t a big deal this time, but Iguana Grill is now on the list of places that I know I can’t go for lunch when I have the baby with me.Overall Atmosphere: 4.5, Food: 4, Service: 4, Facilities and Family Accommodation: 1.5Total average: 3.5
Great atmosphere, slow service and spendy. If you are looking to sit for a while in nice surroundings, this place might appeal to you. The food was average, the service was slow. The costs were high for the type of food. The lighting and backdrop is really nice. OK to have visited once, but will not be back.
The ambiance of this restaurant is great, but that is its only selling point. The food is OK, came out fast, and the price is OK. The customer service is where this restaurant flops. While I am sure some of the servers are great, I have been a repeat customer and every time I have been there I have been disappointed. Ambiance: A+Food: C-Service: D-
