Husband and I decided to have our anniversary dinner at Kibe last night. This place used to be one of our favorites but clearly has gone down. The food was terrible, lacking any type of flavor, rice was mushy and over cooked and shrimp sauce was completely watered down. Sushi was not very good either and took forever even tho we could see the sushi chef just standing there.
I walked in and was delightfully surprised at the decorative chop stick covers. The little fish were so cute, and that was the highest point of my visit. It took 10 minuets to place a drink order; 10 more to place a food order. My date received her order 20 minuets before mine made an appearance. Needless to say the service sucked and I will not be going back.
Went with a group of 11 for graduation lunch. Food on the grill was mediocre and so was the Sushi. I compare it to Ichiban in Huntsville, but not nearly as good but it was cheaper. Server took three times to get our checks right
Ate here the other night, last table to be seated but chef and waitress were good. Food is nothing out of the ordinary. The meat was lower quality than other Japanese/hibachi restaurants in town. My steak even though trimmed and diced had a good bit of grissle on it. Not my favorite, I only eat here if I have to.
The worse service ever!!!!!!. I could not believe it. My wife and I arrived at about 7:00pm. We were seated along with two other families and were left alone for about 45 minutes!! Finally I waitress comes and ask, Is anyone waiting on you guys? Then, leaves for another fifteen minutes and comes back to tell us that only three cooks were at work. WTH!!! Who cares?? I have never went to dinner to hear about who didn’t come to work! We finally ask to see the manager. A young lady appeared and told us that our meals would be discounted. Shortly after that a chef came to begin to cook our orders. Nearly an hour and a half passed and we get to be fed. After the meal the waitress brings the bill and the discount is about $6.50 is the discount. I am still wondering why we were being punished. Additionally, the food was inadvertently burned in a few places. Man, I just brought my daughter to this place last week. What bomb happened tonight!! Please invite my to come back to give you another chance. I was embarrassed for you. I told my wife this was a great place. Disappointed.
Fettuccine noodles and molasses for teriyaki sauce!!!???. Hello, just because you happen to be established in a small southern town does not mean that you will not be faced with discerning diners familiar with Japanese cuisine. Where do you get off with serving fettuccine noodles? The supposed teriyaki sauce was waaaayyyyy too sweet. My first experience some years ago while visiting home angered me as well as I had to instruct your guys on how to prepare yaki udon! Get it together please!!!!
This place has gone way down hill. The sushi is not even close to being fresh. Tuna was mush and no flavor at all. Would recommend going to Hokkaido, Ichiban, or Surin instead. Sad really, they used to be my go to sushi spot.
