Lost my appetite. I thought the food was good UNTIL I drove to the back of the building and saw numerous workers sitting on the ground smoking, one was even looking in the dumpster! I believe that the grooming of the workers should be addressed as well (like, maybe, pulling your pants up from around your knees instead of walking around looking like a thug)! I’m sorry, the last thing I want to see is your dingy underwear and ass before I eat! I probably won’t eat here again not will I recommend it.
I’m a big fan of Newk’s elsewhere, but this restaurant just doesn’t stack up. It’s not clean (dining area is dingy and women’s restroom has been filthy on my last two visits). Food is not as fresh as in other Newk’s. Fruit salad was mushy and lettuce a bit past its prime. Too bad – Newk’s is normally a good bet.

Newks is a great casual restaurant, but the price is a little steep for a glorified deli in a college town. When I have a little extra cash I come in for a Newk’s Q. It’s also a great place to take a friend if they have dietary restrictions. Their salads are great.
Salads: simply amazing. I fell in love with Newk’s salads after my workplace starting catering them. they are a beautiful blend of mouthwatering ingredients. I love the Greek: artichoke hearts, olives, cherry tomatoes, feta cheese and more. I also recommend the veggie sandwich with peppers and goat cheese. incredible food, even though goat cheese upsets my stomach.
