Wait not worth it. Large filet came out blood raw – twice from the kitchen. However, the worst part was the owner who suggested we should have gone to McDonalds after we had waited almost 3 hours. She was very confrontational, rude, and obviously couldnt have cared less whether our group of 8 stayed or left. That was the last time for us.
I’m honestly not sure how half of my filet ended up rare and the other half ended up well done, when I ordered it medium. This evidences the kind of lackluster experience we had at Nick’s several weeks ago. The Nicodemus was probably the highlight of an otherwise underwhelming evening. The salad and dressings looked like they had been sitting under a lamp for several hours, and the rolls were so-so. The only standout food-wise was my baked potato, and it only stood out because it was edible, in contrast to the aforementioned filet.I was particularly disappointed because we brought out-of-town guests thinking that we would treat them to a true taste of Tuscaloosa. We will definitely take friends and family to one of our other local favorites next time.
$15 for a large filet wrapped in bacon… Great food, great drink, great place to go.
Always a guaranteed good time when I come here with my girlfriend or with family. Great, consistent food and the service is always very friendly. For the folks leaving bad reviews, I’m not sure if your standards are way too high or maybe you went to the wrong restaurant. I absolutely love this place.
Don’t Waste Your Money. Below average in everything they do. The service was bad. They were out of rolls and baked potatoes. If my product was this bad, I would have offered some type of compensation to make up for the failure. Not worth the drive or the money.
Good local resturant. Been eating there for years. Don’t expect much for ambiance but food is consistent and really good.
BEST EVER…… We first tries nicks in the sticks last nite…it was awsome….the atmosphere was totally diffrent than an average steakhouse. The server was VERY busy, but polite and did an awsime job. We ate the lg fillet and I had a loaded potatoe and onion rings…the steak was so tender we could eat it with our hands,the salad dressing. (Ranch) couldnt be beat…i even ate it with just crackers. It had kinda of a.bar atmospher….great place for a first date.. all i can say is we absolutely LOVED IT AND WILL BE BACK 😉
