Nice ambience. We dined in the alcove. The service was mixed, little follow up after entree served. We had the prime rib. This was a rather large hunk of meat, but had absolutely no flavor. Even though both cuts had the appearance of medium, no juices flowed out of it when cutting into it. No au jus or horseradish were provided. The mashed potoatoes also lacked flavor, but the roasted asparagus were very good.
We had a very nice meal, it was my birthday and we had booked from Australia. All the staff made a fuss – even signed a birthday card, and provided a complementary dessert. The service was very good, knowledgable and attentive, and the atmosphere was fun and the place itself was very comfortableThe food was good without being exceptional, but it made no attempt to over sell itself so we were not disappointed in the least. The starters beet salad and ham and cheese were tasty and just the right size, with enough variety on the plates to be very interesting.A delicious NY strip perfectly cooked followed. Not too much and not messed around with, the meat spoke for itself. The desserts were very good – nicely cooked cobbler if lacking a little on topping though.Weel worth a visit!
